If even Frank Rich of the New York Times is starting to wonder whether CNN has become "as Democratic as Fox News is Republican" (my condensed paraphrase), you have to start wondering why this doesn't give them pause.
Well, viewers are voting with their feet: where once CNN was the king of cable news, it recently slipped to third place behind Fox News and MSNBC. Incidentally, Fox apparently (see also here) has more viewers than the other news channels combined.
